What's Your Calling?

A. Unabashed Pacifist:

Who needs crucifixions? Waterboarding is more efficient.

B. Unabashed Christian:

Holy One,

Did you expect we would learn to accept war as a given?
I don’t think so.
Even if you did, I for one do not. Why?
Because you made us for better than that.
Cain is not my role model; Jesus is.
Amen

C. Un-quoting Jesus:

“There will be wars and rumors of wars. But you have better things to do.”

[The rest of the teaching perhaps? No. He didn’t speak English.]

D. Blog: Called to be a Minister

Future Minister

After church on Sunday morning, a young boy suddenly announced to his mother, "Mom, I've decided I'm going to be a minister when I grow up."

"That's okay with us," the mother said, "But what made you decide to be a minister?"

"Well," the boy replied, "I'll have to go to church on Sunday anyway, and I figure it will be more fun to stand up and yell than to sit still and listen."
