Random Acts of Thinking

A. Unabashed Pacifist:

The history of the USA is dominated by arrogance, greed, and bloody-minded conquest. Domestic tranquility, indeed!

B. Unabashed Christian:

Holy One,

I hear a word that leads to a thought. It is good. It comes from you.
I see a vision that leads to a perspective on my life. It is good. It comes from you.
I have a dream that moves me to act in new ways. It is good. It comes from you.
Your messages inform our lives, often without our being aware of their source. They are good. They come from you.
Amen

C. Un-quoting Jesus:

“Ain’t no Son-shine when I’m gone.”

[A repeat performance, perhaps, but He never said it.]

D. Blog: Random Acts of Thinking

- From here to eternity takes no time at all.

- Eternity began before we were born.

- If Jesus rose from the dead, why are so many Christians so uptight?

- Less than 30% approval rating would get you fired from most jobs.

- Wishing on a star is less reliable than getting to work.

- Poor eyesight does not excuse lack of vision (nor does good eyesight).

- On my 18th birthday, my government told me I was expendable. The feeling is often mutual.
