Holy One,

You seem to have a lot of faith in us. You entrusted us with your creation and enough intelligence to make a mess of things on Earth. Have you also given us the intelligence necessary to clean up the mess?

You entrusted us with power to destroy most life on Earth. Have you also given us the heart necessary to restrain that power?

You gave us a hunger for the good things of life and a thirst for rich experiences. Have you also given us an equal hunger and thirst for righteousness, justice and peace, lest we become unhealthy with our broad experience?
