People once believed the gods made war in the divine realm. Now many people believe God sanctions wars on Earth. In the future, people will believe wars occur only in hell.

Holy One,

When they wanted a healer, you healed.
When they wanted a teacher, you taught.
When they wanted a prophet, you prophesied.
When they wanted a hero, you just looked the part.
When they wanted a sacrifice, you accepted a cross.
We want life, joy, hope, peace.

D. Blog: Civilization? Who needs it?

It’s difficult to locate civilization in the US. We’ve been too busy borrowing or destroying them and have paid too little attention to creating one of our own. We have focused more on profiteering and turning a profit rather than turning civilized.
