Holy One,

When others overlook me, you prepare a place of honor for me.
When former friends and acquaintances can’t remember the name of the guy in that photograph, you carry my name in your heart.
When others take my work and my person for granted, you grant me the grace of recognizing my worth and my accomplishments.
When history records nothing that marks my having been here, you remember my noble hopes and glorious dreams.
It is well with my soul.
