Krispy Kreme Krime

A. Unabashed Pacifist:

In the pursuit of happiness, war is a dead end. Taking that route means we need to override our GPS.

B. Unabashed Christian:

Holy One,

Like the poor woman who lost her coin, we search to find you. We seek you as the ultimate goal of a quest. When we find you, we learn it is because you want to be found. We also find that you remain mysterious. We find what you want us to find, know what you want us to know about you. But we learn no formula that tells us who you are, no map that tells us where you can be found, no insight as to what we are to do with our limited knowledge of you.

Holy grail of holy grails, we treasure our encounters with you. The many cheap imitation encounters, however, can make us too ready to violate the prime directives – caring for one another because we care for you. When we find you in a true encounter, we cannot care for you without caring for our neighbors, all of them -- without exception.
Amen

C. Un-quoting Jesus:

“Please join me in reading the prayer on the back of the bulletin.”

[Not how He taught the disciples to pray.]

[I wonder: what happened to the donuts? And what's with all the food-related crime around here?]
